Selected as 'K-Smart Lighthouse Factory' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Changwon Doosan Machine Tool, Samhyun, and Shinsung Delta Tech were selected as the "K-Smart Lighthouse Factory" this year.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 30th that it has finally selected 11 "K-Smart Lighthouse Plants" that support the establishment of the highest level of intelligent factories (smart factories) applied with artificial intelligence, big data, and digital twins.
The K-Smart Lighthouse Factory refers to a leading intelligent factory (smart factory) centered on small and medium-sized companies that benchmarked the Global Lighthouse Factory selected by the World Economic Forum (WEF) mainly by large companies. The selected companies include Doosan Machine Tools (mechanical equipment), Samhyun (automobile), and Shinsung Delta Tech (electrical equipment) in the province, as well as Dongjin Semicem, Sambo ANT, Sambo Pratech, Ccube, JVM, Jinyang Oil Seal, Jinhap, and Cheonil Engineering.
Doosan Machine Tool is the world's third-largest manufacturing mid-sized company specializing in machine tools, and is promoting smart factory best practices and technology dissemination, digital twin complete models, and enterprise-wide system integration following the company's sale.
In addition, Samhyun, an auto parts manufacturer, secures order competitiveness and fosters talent through the use of new technologies based on the fourth industry, while Shinsung Delta Tech, a home appliance manufacturer such as washing machine parts, establishes optimal production plans that reflect customer orders in real time.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will provide up to 1.2 billion won over the next three years so that selected companies can systematically build high-tech solutions through supplier associations, universities, contribution research institutes and open innovation. In particular, after the construction is completed, the company plans to support the operation of the factory tour program to share and spread best practices for students and industries.
