Samhyun Technology Research Institute was selected as the best research team of the year by Changwon City.

This year's top research team is the Technical Research Institute of Samhyun Co., Ltd.  The research team has achieved an annual revenue of 46 billion KRW through the development of precision control motors and controllers for the automotive, defense, robotics, and industrial sectors.

▣Since its establishment in 2003, the Samhyun Technical Research Institute has successfully participated in numerous research and development projects, leading to the development and commercialization of eco-friendly vehicle and electric two-wheeler drive modules. Last year, they achieved their highest annual revenue of 46 billion KRW since the company's inception in 1988.

▣The research team has made significant contributions to enhancing the industrial competitiveness of various forward industries such as automotive, defense, and robotics by implementing smart factory systems for advanced production lines and promoting the localization and commercialization of related motor technologies. Recently, they have been focusing on strengthening their research capabilities for overseas exports, including development discussions with global companies such as Valeo and Continental.

▣Through continuous R&D investment over the years, the research team has developed various products, including actuators for robot joints, small-sized power packs for electric vehicles, horizontally adjustable electric jacks, and actuation mechanisms for automatic firing systems (RCWS). These products have been exhibited at various domestic and international exhibitions such as the Korea Defense Industry Expo, International Robot Industry Exhibition, and eCarTec Munich 2016, receiving positive responses from international buyers. They have also been expanding into new export markets.

▣On the 18th of this month, at the '2017 Corporate Love Citizen Festival' commemoration ceremony held at Changwon KBS Hall, the city will present awards for the top management, labor, and research team of the year. The awarded top management and employees will have promotional videos, face plaques, and models of the company's main products dedicated to the Hall of Corporate Honor in August.

▣The Hall of Corporate Honor was established in September 2005 as the first of its kind among local governments nationwide, aiming to enhance the pride of companies and employees, which are the driving force behind Changwon's industrial development. So far, ten individuals have been dedicated to the Hall of Corporate Honor for both the top management and employees. The Hall, currently located at Changwon Convention Center, will be relocated to the Workers' Welfare Town in Palyong-dong, Uichang-gu in August and operated there.
