Samhyun Expands Factory to Meet Growing Demand for Electrification Modules
Samhyun Co., Ltd., a leading motion control company, has finalized plans to expand its factory and invest in new equipment on a 21,000㎡ site in Palyong-dong, adjacent to its existing facility. The expansion comes in response to increasing orders for its core product, electrification modules.
Founded in 1988 in the Changwon National Industrial Complex, Samhyun specializes in manufacturing key powertrain systems used in eco-friendly vehicles, smart defense, robotics, electric ships, and urban air mobility (UAM).
Notably, Samhyun is the first company, both domestically and internationally, to develop a 3-in-1 integrated solution combining motors, controllers, and reducers. The company has successfully mass-produced and exclusively supplied electrification modules for eco-friendly vehicles, positioning itself as a leader in the motion control system industry.
Hwang Sung-ho, CEO of Samhyun, stated, “This investment decision was made in consideration of Changwon City and Gyeongnam Province’s proactive investment attraction efforts, corporate support programs, and competitive industrial infrastructure. As a company with deep roots in Changwon for 36 years, we will leverage our accumulated expertise to continue leading the motion control industry.”
Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We sincerely appreciate Samhyun’s significant investment decision, which reinforces its leadership in the future e-mobility market. The city will provide full administrative support to help Samhyun grow into a technology-driven global enterprise.”
